Christmas Shopping is Actually One of My Favourite Things to Do

Most people hate it. I know.

The car parks are manic. The lines are huge. People are rushing. Its mayhem. I get it.

And…

The children are excited. The carols are being sung. The Christmas fairy lights are shining and the energy is electric.

Thats what I love. I love the energy that come with Christmas. The festive cheer, the buzz that exerts itself from all areas of the city. I particularly love going into CBD’s during Christmas, and seeing the GIANT trees and the extravagant decorations placed around the central mall. It’s always fun. It’s always exciting.

Today I did the giant grocery shop for the big day. Zoomed around Coles, grabbing everything we needed, and have the incredible privilege of being able to afford, and found myself in pure gratitude for that blessing. There’s a lot of people who don’t have the ability to celebrate Christmas the way my family is able to, and that itself is enough of a reason to love this time of year.

The supermarket is manic, it took 10 minutes to find a car park. Laps around the place. The whole time I just felt enthusiasm though.

The more I realise my love for Christmas, and the way it makes me feel, the more I love that little girl inside of me who is feeling the joy right now.

That is why I’m writing this post for you today.

If you can, give yourself the chance to feel the joy of a child, at least for a short amount of time, this Christmas. Basque in the fun and the excitement that is the joyous period, and know that you bringing that energy to life in yourself, also brings it to life for those around you too!
