A Walk Down Memory Lane

You know what day it is!!!

That right. My favourite day. Honestly, it still surprises me that I’ve managed to make Wednesday’s my favourite day of the week - who knew? Anything is possible right!!

I remember back to the days when I CRAVED a Friday. I lived for Friday’s. Nothing beat them.

Now everyday brings its own joys, and that’s because I’m doing what I love and in alignment. It really changes everything.

Enough with the mems… well actually, I’m just getting started on the memories. That is actually part of this week’s Hump Day Hype Up challenge.

This week’s challenge is to: take a trip down memory lane and dig out some of those photos that make you smile.
I know you already know which photos you’re going to flick straight to!!!

But this isn’t just about the mem’s and nostalgia—it’s about using those moments to boost your confidence and mindset.

How you ask? It’ll be my pleasure to tell you.

Why Reliving Happy Memories Matters

Reflecting on great lived experiences through photos is more than just a feel-good activity. Yes, of course it’s fun. Reliving all those fabulous moments and life experiences… but alongside this it actually has pretty profound effects on how we see ourselves, approach challenges, and stay grounded in a positive mindset.

Let’s discuss

1. A Confidence Anchor

Looking at those past moments of fun, those times when you felt like you had great connection, or achieved something amazing, they can remind you of how resilient and capable you are. Those snapshots of accomplishments, whether personal or professional, serve as tangible proof of what you’ve already overcome and achieved. When doubts creep in, these memories act as anchors, reminding you of your strength. You’ve done it before, and you can do it again! You’re amazing!

2. Shifting Focus to the Positive

It goes without saying, our brains naturally tend to focus more on the negative—what didn’t work out, or where we fell short. But when you intentionally focus on happy, positive memories, you’re rewiring your brain to seek the good. Give it the chance to find those fabulous feelings! This shift in perspective can boost your confidence, making you feel more empowered to handle the future because you’re now seeing the world through a lens of possibility and positivity.

3. Strengthening Self-Identity

What is the saying? ‘Every picture speaks a thousand words’. Well, more than that every photo tells a story of who you are. By revisiting those moments, you’re reconnecting with your core identity—the things that bring you joy, the people who uplift you, and the passions that drive you. The more in tune you are with yourself, the more authentic and confident you’ll be in every part of your life.

See, enjoying your old photos can actually be really great for your self confidence!!!

So, how can you make the most of this challenge?

To truly elevate your mindset, here’s how you can make the most of this photo journey:

  1. Pick 3-5 Photos: Choose photos that reflect different areas of your life—family, friends, career, or hobbies. Each of these will remind you of different strengths and happy experiences.

  2. Reflect on Each Moment: Ask yourself, “Why does this photo make me smile? What did I feel in this moment? What strengths did I draw on to achieve this or experience this joy?”

  3. Use it as Fuel: After reflecting, channel those positive vibes into your current goals. Let that energy fuel your mindset and remind you that you are capable of achieving greatness.

There you go my gorgeous friend. Take some time today to scroll through those photos and soak in the good vibes. Let them remind you of how far you’ve come and just how much you’re capable of.

Let’s keep hyping ourselves up and crushing it this week.

Sending love,
Jade xx
