3 Questions to Help You Utilise November to the Greatest of its Potential!

Brutal honesty punch in the face to kick off today’s article - December is a write off. You know. I know it. It’s not the time to be assuming you’ll be getting ahead in your planning.
The problem isn’t that you’re having fun and running around like a lunatic in December, the problem is that you didn’t utilise November effectively to give you the freedom to do that.

Luckily for you, it’s only the beginning of the month so I’ve got the tools here to ensure you’re preparing yourself for 2024 this month. Allow yourself December to have fun, go to Christmas parties, run frantically around the shopping centre on December 24 looking for last minute gifts. Embrace that craziness guilt free - because you’ve utilised November to get ahead.

So how do you do that specifically?

Yesterday I hosted Set Yourself Up, this is my free monthly call to help you prepare for the month ahead. If you want to get yourself sorted and register for December now, you can do so here. If you missed the session and want to hear all the goodies, you’re in the right place!

November is this gorgeous juicy month where we receive all of the energy and excitement of the festive season, without the franticness that is December. You’re able to get the boost of oxytocin as people begin sending invites and connecting with their loved ones. Let’s utilise those gorgeous happy hormones. Use this time to prepare yourself for 2024.

This exercise will probably take you 30 minutes in total - it’s that easy, and you’ll get a great deal of awareness into your goals and focus points for next year.
Grab yourself a pen and paper, make yourself a cup of tea, and settle in - it’s planning time!!!

We’re beginning with some reflection on October.

Part One:
Answer the below three questions and then come back to this article. Be honest with yourself, this exercise is for you only, so not point flapping around the truth or not getting to the core of it - if you want to get the best of yourself and your time, this is how!

  1. What did you achieve in October?

  2. What did you not achieve in October?

  3. What stopped you from achieving that goal in October?

Great. Fabulous. We’ve got the ball rolling.
Now I want you to reflect on your answer to question 3. Cheeky question number 4 incoming: If you’re aware of what stopped you from achieving that goal in October, what could you have done differently? What habits, behaviours and beliefs about yourself could you develop to make sure you achieve the goal this month? Write them down!

Ok great, part one complete.

Part Two:
Let’s get started on November. Here are 3 questions you can ask yourself to get the most out of November:

  1. What are 3 things I want to achieve in November?

  2. What will help me get ahead for December this month?

  3. What habits and behaviours do I need to introduce to help me achieve these goals?

Sneaky cheat answer to question 3 - usually your final answer in part one is a good indication of what you need to introduce for question 3 in part two. When we reflect, assess what we could have changed, it brings us one step forward for the future. It’s the silver lining. The gratefulness of our hardships. The chocolate milkshake that comes from an empty Nutella jar. You can make blessings from the things that haven’t gone well for you in the past, it simply takes a small amount of reflection and open mindedness to development.

Reflection is done.

November goal setting is done.

Now…. now is when we really help ourselves. Get those January plans sorted WAY before they’re needed. Doesn’t that feel fun even just saying it? Knowing future you is going to be so grateful for this preparation? Yes future me, you can thank me now. I’m awesome, planned, organised, I’ve got my S H I T together!!! (Personal high five!).

Part Three:
2024 is going to be the best one yet - so what needs to happen in your world to ensure it is.

  1. What do you want to achieve in 2024?

  2. Who do you want to be in 2024?

  3. How are you currently not being that person?

Thats a toughy - that final question. How are you currently not being that person? Let me tell you this though - when you answer it - DING DING DING! That is the juice. That is the goal. That is a jar full of fresh delicious chocolatey Nutella!

You see, when we know how we’re not showing up as the person we want to be, our real goals are instantly written for us. Your new goal is to start closing the gap between how you’re currently showing up and how you want to show up. Everything else will fall into place when you begin acting like the person who can achieve those goals.

Our habits and our behaviours dictate how quickly we can transform our lives, so take a second to consider what needs to change in your world and make this your new priority.

This is quick fire way for you to start getting ready for 2024 and utilising your November effectively.
